Transportation of pharmaceuticals in compliance with GDP international standards

30 January 2020

The advent of the year 2020 has brought APS another vocational accomplishment: we obtained certificates confirming compliance of the activities with the requirements of the GDP standards (Good Distribution Practice).

The GDP guidelines have been worked out by the World Health Organization with a view to control the processes of storing, distribution, and carriage of medicines. They come down to the following principles:

  • quality management;
  • staff training in the fundamentals of the GDP standards;
  • observance of the unified approach to documentation maintenance;
  • suppression of transportation of counterfeit medicines.
APS has a rich background of handling pharmaceutical products. First shipments of medical goods started way back in 2011 when the fleet was replenished with refrigerated vehicles. Over this time, we have successfully passed more than 20 field audits for compliance with the GDP requirements.

In the issues of organizing carriages and business processes, APS is always guided by the international standards*. The reception of the GDP certificates confirms a responsible approach to the transportation of medicines pursuant to the principles of pharmaceutical business.

* The activities of the companies working under the brand APS are certified according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, TAPA TSR 1, TSR 3, SQAS, GDP.
