Route: Sedziszow (Poland) – Syktyvkar (Russia)
Vehicles: 8 megatrailers
Cargo: unassembled equipment of the CHP power unit
It is common knowledge that project transportations are ranked among the most sophisticated transport services. APS team is always ready to find optimal solutions for such complex tasks, which is confirmed by our recent transportation of the CHP power unit unassembled equipment.
The starting point of the route was in Polish small town called Sendzišuve. Both the consignor and the customer was watching the process of loading.
As a rule, any oversized transportation should be carried out in accordance with the rules and requirements of each country on the route. Our recent carriage is not an exception. Indeed, all 8 trucks moved through the territory of Poland only at night, whilst they were allowed to drive through Belarusian and Russian territory only in the daytime. In addition, the trucks were being shadowed by the accompanying vehicles along the entire route.
In most cases, project transportation involves block delivery of goods to the destination customs office. However, the delivery of the CHP power unit equipment was organized in a different way. APS-team used an advance ruling, in accordance to which the cargo was declared as one complete unit. Thus, the 8 trucks were allowed to arrive at the customs of destination at different times.
The cargo unloading process was held on the consignor’s own territory of customs control, which made the last stage of transportation fast and convenient.
