APS case: project transportation of jib cranes from Germany to Uzbekistan

The simplicity of construction and its low cost have turned jib cranes into a popular lifting gear in various industries. The jib represents a one-piece construction moving on rails in the horizontal direction. The weight of the equipment exceeds 18 tons, the length is over 23 metres. For the delivery, special telescopic vehicles for transportation of oversized cargo are required.

APS solution
APS technical specialists studied the cargo characteristics, worked out placement and fixation schemes. It was decided to make use of four low-bed trucks of diverse modifications from our own fleet. When planning the route, we addressed to corresponding services of all transit countries in due time to arrange special permits.

Loading and securing schemes were agreed by the consignor. During the loading, the driver was sending photos of cargo’s placement and fixation. Each loading unit was fixed with straps top over. A floor level support was used to place the cargo at the higher part of the semi-trailer.

The column of the APS low-bed trucks was convoyed throughout the whole route. Movement across Europe was only allowed at night time. The client was allowed access to the 24/7satellite cargo tracking system.

The distance covered is over 5500 km. Simultaneous arrival of the road trains at the destination customs was provided. Since special equipment had been ordered for the unloading, it was also necessary to accurately coordinate arrival at the destination point.

The successful delivery of the jib cranes to Uzbekistan has become another confirmation of the APS competence in project transportation.
