Route: France – Uzbekistan
Vehicle: truck with refrigerated semitrailer
Cargo: fruit trees saplings
Temperature requirements: +3 ℃
Fresh vegetables and juicy fruits are symbols of fertility and prosperity of the Uzbek people. Ripe, delicious, fragrant – these properties directly depend on the quality of planting material, which is delivered to Uzbekistan from European countries. This time APS took part in the process, transporting saplings from French nursery gardens.
Client’s request
Transportation of fruit trees saplings from France to Uzbekistan.
APS solution
The future harvest is directly related to the transportation process that is why our priority involved maintaining a predetermined temperature. Hence, we used an APS refrigerator for the delivery.
As saplings were transported with an open root system, it was necessary to reduce the time for them being without watering. To speed up the delivery, a crew of two drivers headed to Uzbekistan.
Preparation for loading included disinfecting of the semitrailer and setting the required temperature in advance.
During loading, the driver was fully controlling the process of saplings stowage. It was essential to leave at least 30 centimeters of free space on top for equitable airflow distribution inside the semi-trailer. In such a way, we managed to maintain the required temperature and humidity level.
At the entrance to the Customs Union, the cargo passed phytosanitary control. Saplings covered thousands of kilometers across seven countries and arrived at their destination point on time.
Client’s comment:
“APS brought a piece of refined France to the picturesque valleys of Uzbekistan. We hope delivered saplings will delight everyone with generous yields of ripe fruit.“
