APS participates in a pilot project of tracking transit transportations between Russia and Kazakhstan

14 September 2018

On September 20, 2018, a pilot project of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia was launched to monitor transit road and rail transportations using electronic navigation seals. APS is participating in the project like a road carrier: electronic seals for testing the system were installed on our trucks.

Electronic seal will reduce the time of delivery of goods and checks at customs points, increase transport security, implement electronic document management in international transport and exclude violations of customs legislation.

It’s not the first time when APS has participated in a project aimed at improving international road transportation. We participated in the first China-Mongolia-Russia truck rally and became the first carrier in Russia who has obtained permissions for the transport of perishable goods. The participation of APS in such projects helps to improve the quality of transportation for all companies in the transport and logistics service market.

We consider it is the right decision, when first full-scale testing of such an important for the business system is made, and only after that – its implementation. Our company participates in the pilot project to evaluate the service and make suggestions.
