The division of groupage cargo transportation emerged at APS in 2010. What is groupage transportation?
The transportation is defined as groupage when small consignments of numerous clients are carried in a sole truck. Its core benefit is a lower cost. The speed of picking a groupage batch for one APS road train depends on the nature and size of cargo, place of loading, region of delivery. For instance, a groupage consignment to Central Russia is composed within 2-3 days, to Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia) – 7 days. Road trains with groupage shipments depart from a consolidation warehouse on a daily basis. In order to transport the goods to the consignee's warehouse, we use more maneuverable small-capacity vehicles.

What is important to consider when forming a groupage consignment?
Any goods can be delivered as part of groupage cargo. It is significant to take into account the following parameters when assembling them into one road train:

requirements for temperature observance;
hazard classes and possibility of their joint transportation;
weight & dimensions;
route;
delivery term.

The most requested goods are component and spare parts for equipment, pharmaceuticals, clothing, chemical products. We also receive orders for the delivery of heavy loads of complex shape, е.g. agricultural machinery and even passenger cars. In these cases, higher attention is paid to the cargo securing.
