APS case: transporting low-loader semi-trailers on megatrailers from Germany to Kazakhstan

Delivery of low-loader semi-trailers to haul large and heavy cargoes.

APS solution
APS has run projects for the delivery of semi-trailers with own tractors, as well as on board of a road train. Unlike the transfer, loading vehicles onto a separate truck does not require the issuance of transit plates, which speeds up the delivery process. For this project, the client ordered the transportation of semi-trailers on megatrailers which we delivered to the place of loading disassembled to the state of a flat-bed truck.

The 4- and 6-axle low-loaders were hoisted with a crane and fastened with straps by stretching. The maximum length of the oversized cargo reached 14.5 m, weight – 15 t.

The movement in Germany, Poland, and Russia with an overhang protruding beyond the dimensions of the vehicle was only allowed using identification marks. Special permits were additionally ordered for the passage through Lithuania, Latvia, and Kazakhstan. The vehicles were delivered to Almaty and Shymkent where they replenished the fleet of a local carrier.
