APS Olympic Heights!
25 february 2014
Two different permits were required:
1. Permit for transit of our trucks on the road section from Dzugba to Sochi, which is banned for trucks larger than 11 meters. This ban isn't related to Olympic Games. Some time ago it was possible to get to Sochi by a ferry from Novorossijsk. Now the ferry is cancelled, and only road to Sochi is via this section. We needed an extended set of supporting documents – their preparation took 5 days. As a result we got a permit for 10 travels in both directions.
2. Accreditation to enter Sochi is the second permit. It is directly related to Olympic Games. It is forced into action for safety reasons and is also valid through Paralympic Games. It is necessary to get the Mayor's approval to obtain the permit. Moreover, we were registered in an electronic program through which the documents were presented. Every truck is checked by the Federal Security Service and Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. They gave green light to accreditation. Registration was free of charge and took only 4 days. Obtainment of both permits was simultaneous, so the cargo delivery period was significantly reduced.
We have already delivered project cargos to Sochi. But our new service lane means regular transportations. At present, cargo transportations to Sochi are in great demand and many of our clients already had the possibility to feel the speed and high quality of APS-delivery.
