APS case: transfer of cargo vehicle from Germany to Kazakhstan

16 June 2020
Route: Germany — Kazakhstan
Vehicle transferred: fifth-wheel tractor unit

Client’s request
Prompt transfer of a brand-new vehicle from a German manufacturing plant to Kazakhstan.

APS solution
Last year, APS celebrated its 22nd anniversary. Over this time, extensive experience has been gained in self-propelled vehicle transportation. We have carried air and land transport on megatrailers, loaded construction, road, agricultural vehicles on low-bed platform trucks, delivered vehicles with our own tractor units and transferred them.

The current task is to deliver a Mercedes tractor unit from a German plant conveyor to Kazakhstan.

When carrying on a low-bed semi-trailer, the total height would exceed the permissible norms and it would take time to issue special permits. Transferring the vehicle is the fastest and most advantageous way of delivery. Although such an option implies vehicle operation, the process of delivery passes faster due to the absence of the loading and unloading stages.

The APS drivers know the specificities of modern vehicles, undergo regular trainings at manufacturing plants, have experience in vehicle transferring and driving trucks by various manufacturers.

Reception of the vehicle was conducted under the supervision of a Mercedes technical specialist pursuant to the factory checklist.

The APS Insurance Department assisted with issuing of “Auto Casco” and “Green Card” policies for the period of the carriage of the vehicle.

On a client’s demand, a video recorder can be installed in the truck interior with an access to the satellite tracking for monitoring online the location, speed, spots, and duration of stops.

The status of a customs carrier allows APS to transfer vehicles of any value.

Vehicle transferring with APS suggests reliable drivers, approved secured parking lots, shortest possible delivery terms with observance of the driver’s work-rest ratio.
